William Saliba confirms Real Madrid transfer stance

Arsenal defender William Saliba has brush off ongoing speculation about a potential future transfer to Real Madrid, a club in desperate need of centre-back reinforcement.

“For me, I’m really happy here,” he told reporters this week. “I’ve been here for two years and a half as well. There is nothing. I’m happy here and I want to continue here.”

Saliba has a contract with Arsenal until 2027 and insists there is “no rush” to enter talks over a new deal at this time. “There is some years [left]. I’m happy here, that’s it.”

Rudiger has already talked up Saliba’s qualities, recently rating the player among the three centre-backs he considers the best out there at other clubs.
